Workshops for artists as well as in-class education led by Battini have taken place in Italy and the US at various levels.

Most recent was his instruction in the 3 day  fresco workshop in the Salerno High School of Art, " Sabatini Menna".  This lab was part of the School/Work Alternate Initiative, promoted by the Italian Government. The video below, produced by the students of the audiovisual section,  and the photoes, highlights the key steps of the fresco technique following the Medieval and Renaissance tradition, as carried out during the three-day workshop.

In 2012 he was instructor in Masters-degree course in “Materials and Diagnostic Techniques in the Sector of Cultural Heritage” for the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry at the University of Pisa. This class focused on the role of pigments in fresco painting. For the students of restoration, it was a unique and rare opportunity to learn the true ancient fresco technique as well as the painting methods as used in a Renaissance workshop, practicing on the site of the Church of San Vito in Pisa, as well as in university.

Since 2012 the church of San Vito, the venue of the fresco project currently in progress, has become the destination for visiting groups of students at variouslevels, both Italian and foreign.

Workshops for art lovers were held with renowned success in the beautiful location of the Tuscan countryside. Students had the opportunity, at the end of the class, oftaking home their finished work.
