Portrait

With the commissioner Maestro Battini selects the desired technique,

for example, oil or egg tempera on canvas, charcoal on paper, sculpture, or from

many other options. Once the type of portrait has been chosen, the sizing of the

subject takes place, wherein the likeness can be carried out in a variety of poses.

The appropriate setting is then selected: Family Portrait, Informal Setting, Formal

Portrait, Workplace, etc. Great care is invested in the details – at each phase

of the process– from the lighting and color of the paintings to the material and

finish for the sculptures. Every painting is realized on a canvas made by hand,

treated with chalk and natural glue, brushed with colors based in ground pure

pigments mixed withorganic elements. Eschewing synthetics, Maestro Battini

uses instead pure pigments, minerals and semiprecious stones such as lapis lazuli

that give the finished piece a look and substance both unique and long lasting.
